Yeah and its one of the worst feelings in the world. It sucks. I got over it by crying ALOT!! One day, I knew I had moved on, b/c I wasn't crying anymore. That may not be what you want to hear, but its the only way to truly heal. You can try keeping yourself busy, but eventually when you are alone, you will be hurting anyway.

I had my heart broken for the first time a few days ago. My ex and I broke up. He was my everything and I am still completely in love with him. He was my first kiss, my first boyfriend, my first true love. We dated for over a year and now he's gone. He wasn't only my boyfriend, he was my best friend. We're both in college right now, and it's really awkward because we have classes together and I don't know what to do. All I want is to be with him, but that isn't possible. And now, it's midterms and I have absolutely no motivation to study (which is also why I'm on Yahoo Answers right now). This is terrible and I have been crying so much the past few days that I have a constant pain in my stomach and a constant headache. I don't think I ever knew what real pain was until now.

Wow, I just realized that I completely didn't answer your question. Well, yes I have, and no I don't. I haven't figured out any way to get over it. People tell me to make new friends and study more to get my mind off of it, but I just can't. Everything I see reminds me of him. Everywhere I go, I look for him. I have absolutely no advice for you, but if you need to talk, feel free to email me. I guess that's the best I can do.

I've had my heart broken when my wife/soulmate decided to discontinue medical treatments over 9 years ago and once since then when I met a girl who along with her twin had know my wife before me, so that was really cool, gave her all the room she needed due to an on-going child custody battle and after 18 months found her in bed with one of my best friends...so most people say time will heal all woulds has never been wounded. Yes it takes time but so is filling that void with good things and just try to cope until life gets better. I'm still hoping that someone waltzes back into my life but when you old its so much harder.

Honey no matter how many answer you get on getting over a broken heart none will probably help. cause with a broken heart it is different with each person, only TIME will heal a broken heart, but you can occupy your time with other things to help the healing go faster and to keep your mind off the subject. how fast it heals is up to you..

Yes, I've had my heart broken. It felt like he ripped out my heart and took it with him. I cried a lot. But I knew deep down that he'd be back. I thought about all the good times we had together. Sure that made me feel really down but you can't forget someone that fast and if you really love them you will always love them. Be with friends and don't just sit and home and feel sorry for yourself. That way you have less time to think about what happened. But don't jump into another relationship because usually rebounds don't work.

Yes many times, but I believe time heals everything. Go hang out with family or friends, try to keep your mind occupied. Go out and meet new people, have a lot of friends (guys and girls). The main thing, don't start thinking that there is something wrong with you or that you did something wrong the idiot just didn't know how to appreciate something good. Always think of yourself as the very best, be confident and when you least expect it you'll find that right person...I know I did : ) Good luck and keep your head up high!

Yes. All I say is.....it was his loss. I'm sure he realizes what he lost but, oh well, now it is too late. I will never let him hurt me again.

Remember that everything happens for a reason and when one door shuts, a window opens. This is only one chapter in your life and there are many more waiting for you. Better chapters trust me. Things work out for the best so be strong, don't look back, hold your head up high and move forward to better things.

My heart was broken when my husband left me for another man.
To lose him to another woman would have been bad enough, but the feeling of degradation is almost too hard to bear. That was three years ago and I'm still not over it, probably never will, and I loved him so deeply for over 30 yrs, and still do.

Yup, and I wasn't even going out with the person. Its a long story but in short, he was playing games and making my hopes go too high =P

How did I get over it? Well for one, he graduated. lol. I had no choice but what I did was focus on more important things like my life and where I'm headed... and loving MYSELF. The future has so much better things to offer! Plus you can also learn from your mistakes so you probably won't have to deal with that again! =]
