For every human born, there are 7 kittens born, one of those may be lucky enough to find a permanent loving home. Have your cat speyed, don't worry about having kittens, it's not necessary for her to have a litter and you could be putting her at risk of Feline AIDS, Leukemia, and many other tragic and avoidable diseases, even if you find a Tom to mate her with and he appears healthy, he may not be and may be a carrier. What if he has ringworm spores and you don't know it? Then it goes through all of your pets and you too?
What if she has difficulty during the birth? Can you afford the vet bill? If she needs a c-section and yes cats often do, it will cost you about $1000 and if it's not during daylight hours and you have to find an emergency vet it could well double or even triple your cost. You could end up with all the kittens dying and your cat too.
What if they get sick? What if Mom won't feed them, doesn't have enough milk or rejects them and you will have to do feeds every 2 hours around the clock for the first few weeks and help them pee and poo?
What if once you have the kittens, the people change their minds and don't want them anymore? It does happen.
There are millions of abandoned and unwanted kittens in shelters already, don't allow your cat to reproduce and take up homes these kittens could use rather than being put to sleep simply because no one wants them.
Cats who are given away are more disposable, people have the mentality that they didn't pay for it, it doesn't matter. Many kittens end up in shelters this way, abandoned until some kind person picks them up and takes them to a shelter.
Unless they are papered purebreds and you're doing it to preserve and better the breed, then please just have your pet speyed and encourage the people to adopt from the shelter where kittens have their vet work done before coming home.
Do some research, go and walk through a shelter, very little are no kill and those who are... they euthanase before they go into adoption pens if they are seen to be not homeable. Look up pyometra, a condition of female cats which can be fatal. In many cases, I have known cats who have called only once and have had it.

Everyone has neutered cats because they realize there is an OVERPOPULATION problem! Over 10 million cats are destroyed each year! Don't add to that problem, please! If you and your friends want kittens, go to Petfinder.com or your local humane society, rescue shelter, classified ad section of your local paper, etc. and look for kittens. They are everywhere! There are millions of kittens available. No one needs any more to be born! Please spay your cat.
If you find homes for 6-8 kittens, that is 6-8 kittens in shelters, etc. that will go without homes.

Tell the people in the homes you supposedly have to go to the SPCA and adopt kittens from there, and go get your cat spayed now instead of later.

Why mate her when there are millions in shelter, if she not a purebreed, then theres no point. Just let her out, she'll get impregnanted soon enough from all the strays with diseases. Just because you say you have homes dosnt justify the reason for unneccessary breeeding.

open your door and let her out. You will be amazed. Don't listen to these overpopulation lunies. There is always room for more!! Besides unwanted cats and dogs as well as horses should be put into the food chain from the animal 'shelters' rather than just killing and burying or burning them up. They would feed a lot of starving people!!
