Jesus is a part of God. And that part of God was born to a virgin, lived on the Earth, died, resurrected and is alive today. He did this to defeat the devil. So technically, yes. A part of God died, and came back to life and rose again- living and well today.

You would think so. However, people like OneWay feel that Jesus never died--only the body did. If that were the case, why does Ro. 6:9 say: "For we know that Christ, now that he has been raised up from the dead, dies no more; death is master over him no more"?
If Jesus really did not die, why does that verse say that death was his master? Can you imagine Almighty God having ANYONE or ANYTHING be hid master? Of course not. But death was Jesus' master for 3 days until his Father resurrected him. Gal. 1:1.
It was not God who died; it was God's Son. Matt. 27:54.

The Bible tells us that God is immortal and can not die: (1 Timothy 6 15,16) "The King of kings, and Lord of lords;
Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom [be] honour and power everlasting. Amen.
The Lord of lords happens to be Jesus. Because what the Word call the "tent", or human body that housed Jesus, He did not die in that tomb, only the corpse did; but He continues to live forever. Although Christians have a wonderful life here, won't it be nice to live with a perfect God forever?
There is a page that describes Jesus' coming and heaven at www.revelado.org/coming.htm Check it out, my friend, and accompany the redeemed.
Blessings, One-Way.

God (Elohim) is Father, Word & Holy Spirit.
Jesus is the Word of Elohim. It is Jesus Christ, Son of Man (like the first Adam) who died on the cross. But His Diety is the Word of Elohim. The Word is the Bread from Heaven. Jesus cried out to El, El, Why has thou forsaken me. El is singular of Elohim. So, So Elohim broke for us. So the Word/ Diety cannot die, but Jesus Christ, in His humanity died on the cross for us, and raised from the dead for us. His Spirit/Soul & Word of God was preached to those of the dead. But Jesus was without sin in His humanity & the wages of sin is death. So, Jesus was without sin, so death had no authority over Jesus. Jesus raised from the dead, victorious over death for us. Jesus is the Resurrection & the Life.
Jesus resurrected body is Lord. God has highly exalted Him with a Name above all names, that at the Name of Jesus, every knee shall bow & tongue confess, "Jesus Christ is LORD." to the Glory of God the Father. Jesus Christ in His humanity is LORD also, after He raised from the dead & is seated at the right hand of God, the Father, Word & Holy Spirit.

Only in a physical sense, spiritually He is still One Eternal Living Yahweh (God) and that is what matters.
Our physical, temporal bodies only contain our spirit, which IF you are a believer in Yahweh; is how we become a citizen of His Eternal Kingdom.

Jesus is not dead. He was resurrected to life. Jesus is the first human to be resurrected. The rest of us come later.
