If a person has never dated in his or her life and you keep telling him or her to "not give up and you will find someone" at what age do you stop saying this and say your too old or it's too late....40? 60? 80? Or keep saying it untill his or her funeral?

Age is a matter of mind - if you don't mind, it doesn't matter. I think those "words of encouragement" (i.e. not to give up) are just that - words people say to people who seem distraught or bummed. I doubt very much thought goes in to the probability the person will meet someone or what age they are - it's kinda like being asked "How are you?" Ever notice that if you say anything other than "Fine" people do not know how to react?? It's a empty greeting - just like "you will find someone". There are no guarantees in life except death!

I agree with most people that say "don't give up" but the problem may be, the approach.
Instead of telling them to go out and get a boyfriend/girlfriend. Show them! Start off by cleaning them up, work on their confidence, and their ability to be more assertive. Make their good qualities better and work out their bad ones. Find good friends that will take them out more. Be patient with that person and try not to get frustrated, Rome wasn't built in a day.

nowedays i'd say it depends on how you look. if you're going for girls around your age, then it'll work until you get into your 50s. however, if you want to be able to get girls at all ages, it expect it'll get harder into your 30s. i'm only 18, so i'm not an expert. but if the feminist movement has their way, when guys get into their mid 30s it'll be impossible to get a date. most women around that age will be busy hanging with 19 year old college boys.

Don't you dare ever give up on finding love. I don't care if you are 130, you are worth the effort. It may seem impossible at times, but never give up on yourself. Find it within yourself to keep going. It is never too late.

I think that you should never give up no matter what age because love is something that is cherished in life and without it, you're nothing.
