My parents are mad at me for the stupidest thing - taking a bus. They say I've 'spiraled out of control and that they need to reign me in before I get really bad'. I don't understand this response, because I've never done anything bad before in my life! I'm so confused.... so please, parents, tell me what I did wrong, and tell me how to make things better.

well i think that you might have done a little bit more then you are telling.. 'taking a bus?' come on, are you for real??? but if that is what you are truly in trouble for then take up more responsibilities around the house and things like that.. show that that you can be trusted with simple things like housework and yard work and then see where to go from there.. you will build their trust back in no time.

Well depending on the area, taking the bus may not have been the safest thing to do. My youngest is 14 and if she took the bus in our area I would have wore her out. For them to say you are spiraling out of control there must other things that are outside your normal behavior and this was the straw that broke the camels back so to speak. All kids will learn by trial and error and some parents have a hard time letting their children grow up. You have to accept the fact that your parents are only trying to do what they think is best for you. You may not always agree. Regaining trust is a hard thing to do but you start by apologizing then you back that up with strong actions such as doing the chores they expect of you without being told or reminded. You do extra things to show them you are forward looking and ready for more responsibility.

I do not think the whole story is being told.

You took the bus, which bus? A gray hound bus across the country?
I am assuming you took this bus when your parents told you not too....Who were you with, convicted drug dealers?
There is more to this story then your parents being mad at you for no reason. If they are telling you not to do something then you do it anyways, I can see why they are angry.

Well when you post a question like this you should put your age because if you are 16 and under I would tell you to just keep ur mouth shut and listen to ur parents, now and later... If ur over 16 move out and stop bugging them
