My my how the time flies. I'm 27 and will be 28 in late November. Basically the biggest thing that is about to happen to me is that I'll be turning 30. Uggh. I feel that 30 is so old and that when people think of me I'll be considered as that older lady. Is 30 as old as I feel. It seems that in the entertainment business that once you're past thirty you are not seen as beautiful anymore and your careers older. I'm not in entertainment but that industry does set the standard for how we think, right? So basically Am I old.

So, I'm 31 now. I guess that means I'm old in your opinion, right? I'm sorry, I just don't see it that way. I have way too much going for me in my life to be old. I'm an attractive person or so I hear more often from others than I do myself. I know what I want in life and make a point of enjoying life as much as possible. I make the time to be old when I'm dead.

Don't look at people in the entertainment business as role models. There's nothing real about those people. Look at the real people around you every day and you'll realize that beauty is not just the outside package, but the entire person.

Take a look at the most beautiful model in the world. Then take a look at a woman who's less than perfect and may be older, but who is vivacious and a charismatic thirst for life. The person who stands out as beautiful is that less than perfect woman.

30 is definitely NOT old. If you are living by the standards that are set by the entertainment industry you must remember that the operative word in that sentence is entertainment. That is all glitz and glamour, not reality. Reality is a whole difirent ballgame life is way too short to spend comparing yourself to people on TV and Movies. Being youself is the most beautiful thing that a human being can do.

Your joking right, I think you can be just as hot and appealing at thirty as you can be at 27 or 28 or even 21 for that matter, it is all how you carry yourself. You are only as young as you feel. I am going to be 40 this year and I don't feel a day older then 25.

I'm the same age has you and don't feel like thirty is old at all. Now, I don't follow Hollywood standards, so I don't have that issue to deal with. I don't mind getting older at all. I'm sure there is just as much fun ahead of me as there was behind me. Plus, I look forward to the new challenges and responsibilities that come my way. With age comes being wiser and smarter. Hopefully, not having the same issues I have now. I just want to make sure I'm happy with myself and in doing that, I won't care how old I am.

Well, there's plenty of people that marry after 30, so it isn't old. In Hollywood, there are many famous actors and actresses that are older than 30 and have a career. Basically, you are not old.

Ok don't go there. .You are as young as you feel. I am now 46 and still feel like I'm 26. You have no choice about getting older, but you don't have to get old. 30 is still young. Enjoy everthing you can and dont' give in to the "I'm old" part. Stay healthy and active and you will be fine.

No you are not old at all and what you are feeling is normal.
I felt the same way about turning 30 but after you turn it you will see that its not bad. Age is about the way you feel not about a number.

If you place your value solely on your looks you will most definitely be disappointed..if you do not have a degree already, I would suggest you go back to school and do a job, I suggest a phd in something where you will be stable and people will also appreciate you for your brains and personality.
