I have a 2001 Neon that is sputtering/hesitating when I take off from a stop. It feels like fuel is not getting through? Once I get up to ~30 mph the sputtering goes away. Any ideas on what this might be?

when was your last turn up? when your fuel pump is clogged it loose rpm's because it's starving for fuel. I had an old chevy that did that it was a bad o2 sensor. but i think your light should be on. good luck

i own a repair shop ,and from what you just described in this it may be in need a good tune up a bad set of spark plugs will cause one to do just like that, and then smooth out a little once you get going, also bad gas will do it, moisture in the tank will cause this, and a bad fuel filter will cause this to happen also, there's a few things that can cause this to happen, you just have to check all of this out, until you find it,good luck i hope you get it.

1st get a spray bottle fill with water and spray coil pack on top of engine while car running if you see sparks jumping around than you have a defective set of wires or coil is cracked .. causing your car to misfire
