I was thinking of getting a cover up tattoo some time soon, my qusetion is..Is it harder to cover up certain colors? The one I'd like to cover is black, red and green, I've heard that they are hard colors to cover, is that true?

Black is always hard to cover any dark colors or barely faded are a challenge and may not come out so great however if the tattoo is significantly faded your open to ideas of design and possibly enlarging it should be no problem

black is generally not coverable by most colors. sometimes it can be shaded to look like a dark some other color but it depends on the size shape and color. the best thing you can do is contact a custom tattoo artist who is good at doing custom tattoos and let them take a look at what you have and see what they think they can do to help you out. not every design will work as a coverup.
