If you are a true middle class American, you cannot get health coverage anywhere for an inexpensive rate. All of the foreigners get everything for nothing. Its not fair and I need coverage for my family. My job doesn't offer it. What can I do? I tried Health Plus and only my baby is eligible.

My husband & I have the same issue we have been looking for insurance for our family since before Christmas & man is it hard to find decent coverage for a decent price. Some places we looked were Humana, Assurant (which is who we are going to go with). We had to put our twm daughters on the state assisted health insurance so we could afford it for ourselves. You can also do an online search of places that cover in ur area. But be careful of the ones that say free online quote because 9 x out of 10 they are just offering discounts for healthcare, & they always call bugging u & asking a million questions & what they offer sounds good on paper, but it's not worth it. Maybe ur automobile insurance company or homeowners offers it. We are with State Farm & they do, that's how we found out about Assurant. Good luck with ur search. If u were in my area I could name a few more places but hope I was of soem help, it sure isn't fun.

Try Health New York, Link below. It's a state run program. See if you qualify. Click on "eligibility criteria" then Individual to check the criteria for qualification.
