A little more info would help.... what time of year are you getting married? Do you have a theme? Formal/informal?

Thanks!

Ok the pumpkin idea with sunflowers, red roses, wheat stalks, twigs, and purple stock would be lovely.

Or spray paint terracotta pots gold, push some florist foam in and cover with moss, then spray paint big styrofoam balls gold and dowels. Attach and you have the base for topiaries. Cover the balls( stick them in it) with leaves, wheat stalks, roses , twirly gold sticks and fall flowers. Ivory ribbon at base of ball with ends hanging down the dowel. Scatter acorns (fake) around with gold leaves, small pumpkins painted gold (or left orange) and gourds, white twinkle lights, wired ivory ribbon, and raffia twined to go down the length of the table. Two small pots painted gold and set on either side as candle holders. A sheaf of wheat with a big wired gold or red bow as an accent on your buffet/gift table. Beautiful! ( make sure to cut the dowels high or low so you can see around them - or use the same idea with a long centerpiece and add cream or claret candles).

I've been to quite a few weddings the past year and I really like the centerpieces that are up high and out of the faces and not block everyone talking at the table, etc. The last one was a vase about 2 1/2 feet tall with a few flowers arranged so that a few hung over the sides. It was very elegant. Good luck and God Bless.

A friend used a pumpkin (fake, craft store) and filled it with sunflowers and baby's breathe and some red flower...I forget what it was, exactly (sorry). It worked out great; fit with the season, colors (basically the same as yours); and was the perfect height so people could still talk at the table. I hate those centerpieces that are exactly the height of your head. How can you talk to the person across the table? Either go high with a pedestal (so that it's just a narrow tube at eye level) or low to the table so people can talk under/over it.

Look, I am not with PETA or anything, but I really think it is cruel to use live fish for your decoration. I went to a wedding reception that had goldfish in bowls and they began to die after a couple of hours. That was disgusting. Even if they live, what are you going to do with them when it is over? Throw them away? Try to get someone to take them home (to die, because they did not want them in the beginning)?

Go for the flowers.

you do no longer say while your wedding ceremony is or what sort of wedding ceremony it's going to be, yet bowls of unpolluted, seasonal fruit (use one sort; do no longer blend it up) sounds like an incredible theory--something like nectarines or mini pumpkins may be sturdy. If it rather is a fall wedding ceremony, a basket of gourds, the place everybody can take one afterwards, may be cool. Or, you are able to desire to get much less severe priced bottles of wine (purchase with the help of the case to maintain) and restore balloons of your wedding ceremony colorings to the bottlenecks. those may additionally function your favors. clean Cider might artwork merely as nicely. manage all of them in the middle of the table. If this is close to Christmas, you are able to desire to do little Christmas trees coated in adorns--and everybody can take an ornament afterwards. sturdy success.

You could use beta fish as your centerpiece...I know it sounds weird, but find a pretty bowl or vase for each table and get marbels that match your colors to put in the bottom, and then get matching beta fish and put them in...your colors are deep, dark colors, very fashionable and elegant, and that would exactly match the shape and colors of a beta fish.
