The story of emily rose is based on a true child abuse case where the parents were found guilty and even the Vatican said the parents had no religious justification for the murder of their child.

Exorcisms are performed around the world, and when kids die from them, their religious leaders claim it was not a sanctioned exorcism. In this case, the church claims it was a sanctioned exorcism, but the events leading to the child's death were just child abuse and unrelated to the exorcism.

YEAH RIGHT.

There are no demons we don't make ourselves.

I don't know about Emily Rose.... but exorcisms are real. I have been part of several. Demons are real. Exorcisms work when the person who is possessed wants to be free. Some do not want freedom. They want more demonic power. Never be a part of an exorcism unless you are a born again Christian, living a godly life.

It's hysterical nonsense. As a police officer I once interrupted an amateur exorcism at a fundie church got the call from persons unknown). The diagnosis by the "pastor", a church-ordained person with no education in counseling, psychology, medicine, or theology, was "demon posession. The group had a teenage girl pinned to floor screaming for help (in plain English) as they demanded the devil come out in Jesus' name. I demanded they release her or I would mace the lot of them. She had cerebral palsy, was angry about it as any teenager would be and was sassing her parents, so of course she was possessed by the devil.

Consider all of the ignorant folk on this site, especially the creationists, who have the scientific understanding of a neanderthal. Would you want them deciding whether you had a demon or were in a diabetic coma?

The power of suggestion is strong.....I don't think exorcisms are real, because I don't think people can become possessed. I actually watched a History Channel show where they were trying to debunk/prove Christ driving the demon out of the man into the swine. They didn't come to any conclusions.

Some exorcisms result in death so I guess you could say it worked curing them of the demons/mental illness.

Yes. Exorcisms are real and they work if performed correctly.

Yes it is real. Satan and his demons are real. But I tell you, there is no name more powerful than the name of Jesus. When Jesus walked the earth 2000years ago, He casted demons out of people. And he still does today cause he's alive. If she was a christian, that would not of happened to her. If you ask for anything in Jesus' name, it will be given to you. Jesus said in John 14:13-14

"You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, because the work of the Son brings glory to the Father. Yes, ask for anything in my name, and I will do it!"

For proof, I would recommend the book "People of the Lie" by M. Scott Peck. He is a secular psychologist who investigated the case of human evil and the possibility of demonic beings and possession.

But don't believe movies. They carry no weight of references or documentation.

No. However, for $199.95, I could be persuaded to perform an exorcism, if that's what you really want?
