I understand what you mean. You bought the dog from a breeder and need a follow-up name which is registered right? I bought a German Shepherd dog right after i went through Hurricane Katrina..Her registered name is Miesterhund Winds of Change..Katrina. You might consider using a Spanish name for your dog..look up a Spanish translation of what you think about the dog. i.e. what i did with my GS.

How about Chachi's Happy Days, since Chachi was a character on Happy Days. Or Chachi's Happy Days Ahead.

Congrats on your new puppy!

Chachi's Cream Soda
Chachi's Peaches & Cream
Chachi The Desert Fox (desert because the desert is sandy, a tan color)
Chachi The Dessert Fox (dessert because he is so sweet and is sort of the color of peaches & cream or of cream soda)
Chachi Little Fox
Foxy Chachi
1, 2, Cha-Cha-Chachi

Traditionally dogs are named either for the kennel name they were bred at, or by combining parts of the two parents names. A registered name can include the 'call' name (Chachi) but it doesn't have to.

Well, you could use elements of the names of the parents to come up with something original and fitting, with Chachi being the call name, or you could make up something totally wild and crazy and out there. Are you planning to show him, or is he just a pet?

If you are registering your little guy, look at mom and dads name and see what they are and then name him something from that. We had a registered dog and we had to name her after the kennel and then a name that began with a "Q" (the breeder told us that this was her Q litter). So we named her "Joy-A-Lens Q-P Doll", but called her Scooter.

Isn't the breeder insisting that their name / kennel name be in the registered name of the dog?
