Has anyone taken a class or been taking a class for some time and they feel it's been beneficial? I know some girlfriends of mine who have actually become dancers in their later years (no, not erotic), and they've shed pounds left and right. However, they never worked out before, and I know when you begin working out, you tend to shed pounds faster than those who have been working out all along. I currently workout at least 4 times a week and I have been doing so for the past 4-5 years. Do you think this pole dancing class would be a great addition to my schedule or should I save the extra money?

I have taken the class-- its great fun, but in my humble opinion, too expensive and you dont learn nearly as much as you are told you would.

One idea- the studio I took those classes at here in Miami offer a 4 hour intensive every few weeks. Looking bcak, I would have been happier (and my money would have been better spent) taking a few of those.

In short-- Im glad I had the experince, but I wish I had paid alot less for it.

Your question doesn't say why you want to take this class. If it is for exercise, it sounds like it might not help since you are already doing a lot of exercise, and I'm not sure this is the best form of exercise. If you are thinking of doing it to become a stripper or just to perform for you boyfriend or whatever, then you have to answer your own question. If that's what you want to do, then this could be a way to learn the moves.

If you wanna save extra money and yet still get the pole dancing classes, I suggest you buy Carmen Electra's Video. My hubby loves it and it gives great results :-)

Go for it. You will be so much more happier and confident when you're hotter and make money just for dancing in public. Do it, do it!

Take the class. You and your significant other will be glad you did, whether you decide to earn money from it or not.

Ask the instructor where you work out.
