Parents dealing with step parents - Did you really think about this before making a baby?

I'm wondering if when couples decide to have children, they think about what will happen if they split and step parents come into the picture.

I am really not liked by the biological Mom. But partly, my attitude is - well - I wouldn't be around if you hadn't left your kid's Dad when she was only one year old (I came into the picture a year later).

Are you a parent who has a step parent in your child's life who you don't care for - and don't want around your children? If so - did you ever consider that this scenario could happen before you split - and how much baring did it have on your decision?

I strongly doubt people are thinking about any baby or anything about it while they are making one.
