politely ask your boss what his or her daughter likes. for example, she might like dolls or dress up or art or whatever. that way, you'll be sure what you get her is something she will like and actually use. also if you see something along the lines of what your boss said, and you think the little girl would like it, ask your boss before you buy it if she already has it or would like it. then, you can get it. :)

You could "adopt an animal" through the World Wildlife Fund. (https://secure.worldwildlife.org/forms/acdev/adoptionCenter_1.cfm) The "adoption papers" come with a picture of the animal, a description of why they're endangered, and a stuffed, toy version of that animal. They're very cute, she'll love the stuffed animal, you're hopefully helping instill in her a healthy respect for nature, your boss will think you're creative, and you're doing something good for the planet. Win-win-win-win-win!

Get her something personalized. That would make it very unique to her. I would check my local paper and yellow pages for embroidery shops or ask your dry cleaner if they know anyone who does it locally.

Plus, there are all kinds of website that sell personalized merchandise. Even the Toys R US site has a personalized section.

Hope this helps.

You need to quit sucking up. Your boss would rather have you surfing less then buying presents for their kid.
