I have never heard of a "water diet." Are you talking about ingesting water and ONLY water? If so, that's a terrible idea. I would suggest a healthy diet where you drink at least 48 oz of water each day. You will lose weight and it will be healthy. Water is great because it flushes out your system, but don't have ONLY water! You need to eat too!

Ah OK, I see you've updated your question. Thank you for not ONLY drinking water. There are some crazies around here who might actually think that's a good idea. Glad to know you're not one of them.

But yeah, like I said, drink between 48 to 100 oz of water each day, in addition to eating lots of fruits and vegetables, dairy, lean proteins, and whole grains/high fiber foods. Apple cider vinegar IS a diuretic. If you put a bit of it in hot water it kind of tastes like hot apple cider. Yum! Lemon or lime added to water also act as diurectics (and tasty too!).

Water helps flush out your system and keeps you from becoming bloated.
