See if she can tell you why the potty scares her. Some kids think they will be flushed away along with the poop. If this is the case have her watch you for a while. Have her sit on the potty with the lid closed and work up to her sitting there. Make sure she is well away when you flush. And keep explaining she cannot fit. May be try and show her at the sink with that drain.

Others have issues with 'their' poop going in the potty. Try seeing what the difference is to her with her poop in a diaper going into the diaper pail vs. poop going into the potty. Start with changing her in the potty and dumping her poop from a diaper into the potty.
Take care - you'll do great!

Get a good potty training book that explains with pictures what happens when she goes.

Many children feel that they are losing part of themselves when they go. (Like flushing an arm or a leg.)

Usually just repetitious explaining of what is going on will solve this for you.

pick her up. rush to the potty and put her on the potty, give her a book to read or look at. and wait......

my daughter tells me she has to go poo poo too. but, she doesn't scream. if she did, i'd just pick her up and while i was running to the bathroom i'd take off her pants and diaper. so, by the time i'd be in the bathroom i'd just put her on the potty. that's what i did when i first started potty training her.
