Because that restaurant probably only serves Pepsi products. With most places it's either Pepsi or Coke products....one or the other, never both at the same place.

most restaurants don't have both because it get expensive and they shouldn't give you a Pepsi without tell you they only serve Pepsi and not Coke. Next time they serve you a Pepsi without telling you first, tell them you only like Coke and to take back the Pepsi and subtract it from your bill.

Because most restaurants only serve one or the other, not both. However, when this is the case, most servers will state that they do not have 'coke' and would you like a 'pepsi' instead.

I work in kansas city and at my restaurant they only have coke. People ask for pepsi all the time and I tell them its coke first before I just bring the soda.

I know and I am a coke girl! Although I'm trying to give it up, I only drink it occasionally - but 'pepsi' is not an option! So, don't coke around with me!! lol :)

because the machines are usually not coke ones. to make sure if they have coke or pepsi than just look on the menu
and because pepsi is cheaper

It's a plot by the "great immitator" pepsi to dumb down all of America with their horrible product. Do not tolereate this. Throw the Pepsi back at them and walk out of there!!

Pepsi owns: Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, & KFC. Their competitors are not going to serve pepsi in their restaurants, they serve coke.
