James Hardy Siding Vs. Vinyl Siding?

I am looking for some specific info on how much more should I expect to pay for James Hardy siding over vinyl? Are there different charges for different colors?

yes diff colors in vinyl & you don't have to paint
vinyl creeks & makes noise in wind & is not very substantial
i've had both, (cunnrently hardie )& would do both again. it seems like viny is more expensive, but i don't see why
if you install both over a plywood/osb substraight, which is your strength in bracing the house, then either will do
