Does anyone else hate waiting on the call back. That is one of my pet peeves. The guy I really like always says "I'll call you RIGHT back". I put emphasis on the term "right back". He never does. He calls an hour later and by that time I'm mad about having to wait. Why does it seem like people like me that wait for the call always hook up with inconsiderate callers and people who could care less when their guy calls, get the guy that calls all day and night? We've broken up over this before and it seems like such a stupid reason to call off a relationship but I just don't like to be put off.

It's often a technique used to discourage someone from continuing to call. Unless he's offering believable reasons as to why he can't talk....I'd let the relatonship fall by the wayside. You deserve someone who treats you like you are the most important person in their life. Good Luck

Speaking as a guy, we get sidetracked easily. I get in trouble for this kind of thing all the time, being told that I need to work out my priorities, etc. But honestly, it has nothing to do with that. Guys in general can be madly in love and want nothing more than to spend time with you, but can be bad about calling immediately. While it may speak to the guy's reliability, it very unlikely has anything to do with you. I would recommend either take it with a grain of salt and realize that calling back late is no reflection of his feelings for you, or if it is a very important subject for you, keep searching until you find the guy who seems more reliable and is a break from this general mould. Either way, it is probable that even the most perfect guy for you will be bad about calling back every once in a while. After all, we're guys :-). Good luck!

my bf does the same thing
goes out to poker night says he'll be home at 11 gets home at 2 etc
we have also broken up over it cuz it made me feel like he has no
respect for my feels at all especially keeping a promise
but after two years i've learned to accept it as one of his flaws
i have also learned he doesn't just do it to me he also does it to his guy friends etc so i don't take it personally anymore
now i just nod and agree when he says he'll call back be home at a certain time etc. and then i make back up plans just in case he flakes...so i'm doing something instead of sitting around and waiting

i understand exactly what you mean.....i am always the one who ends up waiting on the other person and i HATE it.....and that is tru its allways the guy you could care less about that will blow my fone up and the guy i really like i have to be the one who ends up breaking down and calling him....but i really wouldnt let this stress you b/c atleast he calls you back sooner or later and never just have yourself sitting around waiting for his phone call cuz it will juss make it worst....

I'm dealing with this myself and sometimes its annoying but I realized that some guys have no concept of time and get busy, etc.
So, I stopped waiting! And when he does call - I DON'T ANSWER - I call him back about 15-20 minutes later.
