I own a professional carpet cleaning business. What you need is a product that contains BOTH enzymes and bacteria. Not just enzymes, as many of the products other people are suggesting. Enzymes break down urine and other things (vomit, etc.), but you need the bacteria to actually consume and entirely remove the components of the urine, etc. from the fabric. Such a product would be PetZyme (also sold at Petsmart). There are other products - just look online. For furniture cleaning, though, I would really recommend hiring a professional cleaner (make sure they use a product like I described), because the urine has likely soaked into the cushions and will be very difficult for you to get out using towels or even a household strength carpet cleaner, etc.

Use an enzyme cleaner from the pet store, e.g. Nature's Miracle or Petastic. They're the only thing that get it off to the point where the cat can't smell it anymore, and that's important because as long as the cat can still smell it, she might go there again.

Once you have the enzyme cleaner, just follow the instructions on the bottle. :)

Natures miracle. If you have a petsmart near you they have their own brand of natures miracle called petzyme or catzyme, anyway the petsmart brand is 1/2 the price. Wash the area first to get out excess urine then you need to completely saturate (really really soak) the area and let it dry naturally, don't soak it up with a towel. after it is completely dry (can take 24-48 hours) then you can wash it again.

I use a product called Nature's Miracle...then when it is dry, use a washcloth (wet) and tap a bit of OxyClean, to wipe away the outline of the stain....test colorfastness first.....
