I am an adult basic education math instructor at a technical college. Are there any programs out there to help pay off my student loans? If so, what are they and where can I get more information?

I'm not looking for consolodation...I've already done that. I'm looking for loan forgiveness. I'm teaching in Wisconsin.

You wouldn't believe the number of people that is posting this question.. My grandson is having a terrible time with his. I can tell you to go to www.studentloan.com and there is a site to condsolidate. But, don't know anything else. Sorry. (Some times I wonder if it is worth going to college, these kids are having soo much trouble repaying).

It all depends on how much you have to pay back. If the amount is over $10,000, consider consolidation of your loans. Under $10,000? Consolidation isn't neccessary and most loan companies will refinance if the amount is over $10K. Why don't you try this website. I'm paying mine through them. It's called www.nelnet.net

Hope it helps. Good luck.
