You know - it's pretty bad when you are so dumb that it takes a talking donkey to straighten one out and we can't forget - save one's life. Yes, if the donkey had not turned away the angel of the Lord would have killed him.

Well of course, he just had nothing to complain about up til then... It's an old ploy - pretend you don't understand someone, then one day you talk to them in their language and - bam, they realize that you understood all those nasty things you've been saying about them for years.
