My 1 year old lab/shep/husky cross will roll over on his back and pee all over himself everytime myself or my boyfriend try to get after him for something he knows he shouldn't do.

For example: The dog decided to chew on the wall and moulding, which he has been reprimanded for before. After finding a peice of chewed up trim in the other room, my boyfriend took him to where he did it and started telling him no. The dog just rolled over and peed all over himself. My BF wasn't yelling or being aggressive, just firmly showing him and saying no....

What can be done to stop this?

First of all it sounds like you've got a submissive, likely nervous dog to begin with. You're not ever going to help him get over it by taking (or was he maybe dragged) him to where he did it. You've got to confine this dog when you're not around to watch him so he doesn't have the opportunity to get into trouble.

Then to help him gain confidence so he stops the submissive urination, try teaching him some obedience. He doesn't have to go to classes, at least not to begin with, if you can teach him yourself. Use lots and lots of praise for any correct behaviour. The idea being that dogs who succeed at something gain a lot of confidence and with that, they're not so submissive.

What walkinglady said,He`s probably nervous and afraid you`ll hit him.Did he have abuse before you got him?Was he dragged to the room?I have a dog like that, she is very afraid and urinates all over when we scold her.We praised her a lot when she didn`t do anything bad,and we gave her treats, and now she`s normal.Anyway, you don`t have to pick this as the best answer, walkinglady`s was so much better.
