Friskies is NOT on the recall list. In fact some employees in Petco have adviced feeding ones cats Friskies in the meantime (if they cannot afford the more expensive non-recall brands). I fed my cats some Friskies last Friday as soon as I found out about the recalled IAMS and Eukenuba (which I stock).

Lower costing foods are not good foods (dry or can) .The animals like them because the are full of fillers and garbage and they taste good. However they contain alot of ash and magnesium! these are 2 ingredients that contribute to urinary bladder stones and crystals in the urine!NOT GOOD! especially in MALE cats, the stones can block the urethra (penis)so that the cat can't pee and he dies in about 24-48 hours! Pet owners that are aware that something is wrong quick enough,will spend $700- $1500 trying to save them.Some do well others do not! FEED THE BEST U CAN AFFORD TO FEED, PRICE INDICATES QUALITY ie. Iams,Eukanuba,Science Diet,Royal Canin,Wellness etc.

Not that I heard I heard that it was only on Iams products.....
