3 hours ago I posted a question pertaining to the site myspaceforteens which I made for my 3 teens so I can keep a eye on them while chatting with there friends, my question to the community was is there anything else I may do to make it even safer(I put password protected password chatroom on the site for that reason) I got 7 good answers (all positive except one) who promptly states "I DONT CARE IF YOUR KIDS ARE SAFER. I HAVE ALREADY REPORT YOU TO MYSPACE AND WHEN THEY FIND OUT THERE GOES YOUR KIDS SAFETY AND YOUR 5 MONTHS OF WORK ." Well I do not have ONE MONEY GENERATING AD on that site and do not make ONE PENNY off that site I have spent $3K so I can keep a eye on my kids (my teens friend recently meet up with a stalker because of this issue) and is what promted me to do this. How can someone have the nerve to not only be critical of a father protecting his kids but also have the nerve to shut down my hard work and my kids own site? My kids are devasted there site might be gone.

It sounds like the guy was just being a jerk. And there are plenty of them here on Y!A. I, for one, applaud you for being concerned about your children. Not enough parents seem to think about all they can do to keep thier kids safe while letting them enjoy themselves.
You can check with myspaceforteens, but it doesn't sound like you did anything against thier rules. Don't let this guy get to you.

You have an OBLIGATION to keep your children safe. I suspect the message you received is pure bluff, but bring it to the attention of your children as an example of what people with bad intentions do in the Internet. Advise them to tell you if they encounter any people who seem a little strange or do not seem to be who they say they are.
If you and your children are vigilant, they can enjoy the computer and be safe. The internet is like a big city. Some neighborhoods (sites) are safer than others, and people have to be aware.
Good for you for doing the right thing!

why would you care what a man says? Has it occured to you that he may be upset cause he is one of the predators you WANT your children away from?? I think its all talk, honestly....It almost sounds like a little kid threats....Now if your kids have to have paaswords to get on the site does each person have a different password?? Or are they going to give the password to there friends?? There still may be a way of a predator getting in there..Just keep an eye on them...
Best of Luck~

Well dad, sounds like the best thing you could do here is to drum it into their heads that they should not be meeting people online. That it's okay to talk to their friends, but not strangers. People can be real jerks. This person may have just been pulling your chain.

Sounds like someone is either having some fun at your expense or else you've encountered one of the sickos you're trying to keep away from your precious children.

*edit*
I've spoken to this guy via email and, while I don't agree with some of his business decisions, he does seem genuine about his kids. My apologies for being a brat.
