Don't go to Virginia, they speak like idjits (idiots).

If you want to pronounce English like an American, a good way to do so is to watch American films (preferably those with actors who speak American English properly and naturally such as Brad Pitt, Will Smith, Julia Roberts)

If you watch the films with English subtitles/closed-captioning, you'll not only easily understand them, but you can practice pronunciation along with them.

Music is a good idea too, but emphasis and pronunciation are often altered to fit the music; if you do use music, you should always have a copy of the lyrics in front of you to practice the way the words sound.

You could also hire a language coach - very popular choice in India.

Just mispronounce things the way our president does:

'Merican = someone from the United States
Nukulair = atomic energy
preshiate = showing gratitude
Demuhcrat = member of the opposition party

You'll be sounding like American in no time. Don't be surprised if everyone else in the world hates you, though.

You tryin to fake your accent? You cant fake it and get away with it. People will know your faking it and that will make you look silly. Come live where I live for some time. Virginia!! And maybe after 2 years you may pick up an accent.

I used to watch TV a lot! I definitely think it helped me. Also taking a couple of courses at your local community college helps too, as it forces u to talk to ur teachers and classmates.

Watch all our Hollywood movies!

They might have you a bit disoriented, but that's OK.

Cheers!
