Why would someone ask (pray) to someone 200 times a day to pray for them? Writes like repetition to me, without receiving an answer. Where is the assurance?

Did you know that other Saints in heaven pray for humans on earth? Not because we ask them to. But because Jesus asks them to.
Jesus Christ, the man/Gods Word is the resurrected Savior and intermediary between mankind and Father God. You can't get Gods attention through Mary or other Saints, you get Gods attention through the Son. He is the only way to the Father. Born of His Spirit, cleansed by His Blood, ,joint heirs with Jesus, part of the family of God. Yet, Jesus talks with the Saints in heaven, even the newest members, and the Saints still alive on earth to pray for one another.

Never have, no. I say to Her "pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death" about 200 times a day - but - no - I've never prayed to Her.

Lots of people think us Catholics 'Pray' to the saints and Mother Mary. We pray 'Through' them there by having them send a stronger message to God.
We only pray to one God no one else. People will say that they 'pray to Saint Micheal' but they really mean that there praying through him. If our prayers are answered they are answered by God. The saints and Mary are guides in a way to set an example of how we should be living our lives and spreading our means to others of less.

A prayer to Mary is different from a prayer to God. When Catholics pray to Mary they are simply asking her to pray to her Son for us. They are not asking divine favors and blessings from her as they woulds God. It's like if we asked our biological mother here on earth to pray for us. We wouldn't ask her for the same things we would ask our Lord.

Praying to Mother Mary is in fact praying to God. And yes he answers my prayers evry day that I wake up to see my wife and two healthy children. Mother Mary speaks to God on your behalf. She herself does not directly answer your prayers. A very simplistic view of the process, but it leaves less for the non belivers to attack.

In as much as the final destination of my prayers were GOD, yes, I've prayed to Mary. My sister was having a very difficult pregnancy and I was scared for her. As a mother, I asked Mary to help me turn to God for strength... yes, I was that scared for my sister. I don't know if you could call it an answer, but I did find the clarity to turn to God and ask for health for my sister and her baby and some calm for me.

Yes, we pray for Mary's intercession. She is out spiritual mother and just as any child might ask their mother for help, so we ask Mary for help.
Yes, she has helped me. I pray to her, to intercede for me and ask her Son to have mercy on my husband. I ask her to pray that my husband might be saved. I also pray to directly to Jesus and to God.
Over the years, my husband has changed quite a bit. No, he's not a church goer yet, nor would he even call himself a Christian...but there have been huge changes in him that I can only attribute to prayer and to the intercession of our Blessed Mother.

Yes Catholics pray to Mary to "INTERCEED" on their behalf.
God answers the prayers if he desires to do so, not Mary.
It's most similar to living at home, and you want to borrow Dad's car for the evening. You want help in asking for this so you goto Mom and ask her to help you ask Dad. Ultimantly, Mom is a good softener but it's Dad who will bless you with the keys to the car.

OK....For final and official purposes, Catholics do pray to Mary. However, we do not worship her!!!! We believe that through knowing more about her, we can grow closer to Jesus. That's it! We don't worship her, not matter what some very misinformed people say!

yes they do.., they also pray to angels. like St Anthony etc..
This is wrong according to the Bible:
Commandment #2. dont make any graven images or bow ( pray ) to anything other than God ....
Only in the Ten Commandments in Exodus 20 ( the regular bible - not the cathism or catholic bibles - they removed it from their list of 10 and split one of the others into 2 commandments to make up for it )
There is NOT ONE SINGLE PLACE IN THE BIBLE that says MARY even went to heaven. and NEVER NEVER NEVER did Christ or anyone elses tell us to pray to her
