Your layman's diagnosis might be wrong...most likely, what your friend has is an enormous sexual appetite. Sexual addiction is far too serious a problem to be handled in this site - you need a clinical sex therapist for that.
So let's just say, big appetite, ok? If this friend is your sex partner, he/she could just be extraordinarily horny. If you can handle it, good for you. If it's too much for you, avoid situations that could lead to sex...stay away some days or nights. And yes, it is healthy to consider some self-gratification techniques too...tell him/her you're okay with that.
If the friend is NOT your sex partner, got 2 words for you - butt out! It's not your concern.

The Best treatment is usually an antidepressant it is a sign of sometimes "Hyper-sexual" But hell I am Bi-Polar and rather enjoy it a lot . I take eff-xor . I love it a lot . Can't complain but if it is affecting your daily maintenance and fiancees .Or is jeopardizing a criminal aspect of your life then by all means seek Professional help and I do mean ASAP ..In the world we live in and the trying times stress . Ramped drug addiction ,sexual offenders preying on our nations innocent children as we are now selling Viagra over the counter .This only to give the judicial system yet another taxing burden on our failing poor economy as we shall pay for a War that is in its fourth year .So yes get some treatment for a sexual addiction it will always have an underline meaning .

your friend may just have a low self esteem. A lot of times the person who seems the most outgoing and gets the most guys - especially gets them in bed... is actually trying to afirm her worth by proving that she can "get' these guys. May not be the case, but look close. Your friend obviously needs help
