i have noticed that my yankee candles are having a lot of waste at the end of the burn time. I do use a shade on the top but I still see about a good 1/2" of candle that has not burned. What is the problem?????

I just wanted to throw in my 2 cents here. I have given up on "regular" candles and have started purchasing soy candles. They burn completely and they burn clean!! I mean you end up with a clean jar in the end. It is really awesome!! They also burn up to 50% longer and hold more scent than the "other" candles. Check out the website I listed. They are GREAT and very inexpensive!!!!

You should let the candle burn until all of the wax has become liquid, all the way to the edges each time you burn it. And always trim off the extra "stuff" at the top of the wick before lighting it the next time. This seems to work for me.

You should be cutting your wick. If you let it get long it wont burn evenly.
