1. Good nutrition, adequate sleep and exercise will help you be in better condition over all. Pre-natal vitamins are good for hair and nails too.

2. Joico K-pak Shampoo & Conditioner are the best for dry hair. The conditioner can be used every day or used as a mask for deep conditioning.

3. Avoid styling products w/ alcohol and use heat styling appliances as little as possible.

4. Get a super absorbent hair towel (Aquis, The Body Shop) to reduce time needed to blow dry.

5. Use a thermal protection product before blow drying.

6. Start at the ends and use a wide toothed comb, to remove tangles gently to avoid breakage. Never brush your hair while it is wet.

7. Use a balm or pomade to reduce frizziness and add texture. (Kiehl's Silk Groom or plain jojoba oil will do the job while conditioning your hair.)

Scalp massages help with hair growth it stimulates the blood vessels and the hair follicles.

For any kind of hair Aussie products are the best - for your particular needs on a daily basis use the Dual Personality Shampoo and Conditioner (root cleanser and dry end moisturizer). Once a week use the 3 Minute Miracle, try to only use it on the ends of your hair (about 1" from the scalp).

If you blow dry or use any other stying tools, use the Aussie Hair Insurance.

If you can get away with it try washing every other day.

Salon products are no different from what is available at your store - they only cost more. You can also try products at Sallys Beauty Supply.

You can't really make your hair grow any faster. Hair grows an average of 1/2" a month. I have had my clients buy a product at GNC for Hair, Skin & Nails. This product is a natural supplement that contains Keratin, the substance your hair and nails is made of. Some have had success at growing healthier hair and nails.

As far as you hair being dry.

How often are you washing it?
What shampoo and conditioner are you using?
What are you using to style, blowdryer, flat-iron?

You should only be washing your hair every other day if not every 3 days unless you hair is oily?

Give up the supermarket shampoos and conditioners, they are crap. Go to a salon buy yourself good products, I sugguest L'oreal Professional Intense Repair. You will pay more but if used properly they will last longer than supermarket brands.

Styling. ---- Make sure if you are using a flat-iron that you use a thermal protectant product.

And to make sure your hair stays healthy, get regular haircuts.

Have somebody massage coconut oil in your hair. A great time to do this would be in the night just sleep with it in. To keep stains off your bed leave a towel over the pillow. In the morning take a shower and rinse it out. This makes your hair silky and smooth it also makes the roots softer so your hair grows faster.

If it's extra, super, ultra dry, try the salad treatment. Olive oil, mayo & egg yolks. Mix them together, put on your head with a shower cap for an hour or two, then rinse out. My mom had a perm & the ignorant stylist didn't neutralize it, so her hair started falling out. Another stylist told her to use this "salad" treatment & it works! Also, for growth, your scalp needs stimulation. So brush with a natural boar's hair brush, which will distribute your hair's natural oils from root to tip to keep your hair healthy (plastic bristles break hair off), a couple times daily.
