well, in your defence, i think you are trying to get the "sense" of the word and not the meaning, right. like what connotation/denotation it has that a dictionary wouldn't be able to offer. keen has a good connotation.

Most definatley positive. When someone is keen on you,they like you which is positive only if you like them too i suppose.

"Keen" is a positive; it's another way of saying someone is "cool", "smart" and/or "perceptive", depending on the context. :)
