The best opponent was Apollo Creed, the rest were knockoffs, sequels are never as good as the original.

I have to go with Apollo Creed over Drago even though Drago defeated him and he died in Rocky IV. Apollo Creed was the perfect foil for Rocky in the first two movies because of the boxing styles, charisma, personality, outlook on life or what was important. When we get to Rocky III, it seemed that Apollo learned a valuable lesson from Rocky and wanted to help him out to defeat Clubber Lang but also to defeat a past demon in himself namely an arrogance or outblown confidence which was a facade of the real character of Apollo Creed. We see this in the continuation in Rocky IV when Cred's former manager who admired Rocky and knew what Rocky was and could be was glad to be his manager instead of fighting against him.

Honestly, I think Apollo Creed was the best. He was like Drago and Clubber Lang mixed into one man. He was in great condition and had a distinct physical advantage over Rocky (Drago), but was also determined and hungry (Clubber Lang).

No. That honor goes to Mr T as Clubber Lang. The film was the best of the series - fast paced, with two hard-hitting southpaws going at at. The fact that Rocky got stopped in their first fight made the second fight so much more intense and exciting.

Definitely not, Apollo Creed was Rocky's best opponent. That was a rivalry, Drago was revenge.

Nah, Drago was roided up to the max. In the real world, he'd have been suspended.
I would go for Apollo Creed, followed by Clubber Lang.

Drago was the toughest of all. Appolo was probably a better opponent, but Drago was the toughest by far.

hes not 2 bad apollo was the best either him or mason dixon gave rocky the hardest challenge.Ivan was just big and strong however mason dixon was a tough challenge because rocky was old and not as fit

I would have to say Clubber Lang, because Rocky had to change something in himself to overcome his fear of Lang. Rocky III was my favorite movie of the "Rocky" movies.
