In the movie, "Just Friends" there'a scene near the end where chris was talking about how he could have "scored" with jamie. He said it was "bad timing" and he couldn't just do it because he didn't know what was going to happen - he move back to new jersey or she move to LA? and he couldn't do it because jamie wasn't just a girl...they had history, they're best friends....

I'm going through the same thing the situation between me and my best friend is just like in the movie. My best friend has liked since the first time we've met and i've fallen for him but doesn't want a relationship right now b/c it's "bad timing" - he wants something in the future with me according to him that's "long lasting and real" - i don't think he wants to throw away all our history...

Is he scared of ruining our relationship? Does he want to save the relationship for when it's right? Can someone explain it to me?

it sounds like your friend is being very mature. he is letting you know how he feels about you but perhaps wants to live a little before he becomes tied down with all the responsibility's it has to offer.in a permanent relationship. accept your friends way of thinking and have some fun yourself.if on the other hand your friend wants to see less of you then i would think twice and ask him to be honest with you .i hope you and your friend go on to have a long and happy life together.

In the long run, men and women can't be friends. You think a guy's wife will be okay with his best friend being cute woman, and vis-a-versa? Just go ahead and have sex. Your husband or wife is supposed to be your best friend anyway, so you may has well see if you can make it work.

i'd say just be his friend. you may be ready, but he may not be. don't push too hard. ease back a bit and let him be in control of the friendship. subtly charm him, without pushing too hard. he needs the chance to fall in love with you.
