Take a deep breath. From what you described it just sounds like the parents are a little less involved in ya'lls relationship than the grandparents. Don't sweat it. You can break through your shyness and try to initiate conversations a little more and that will give you a better idea of how they feel about you (and not to mention your relationship with their son). You would be surprised how asking a simple question can get the conversations flowing (maybe even more so than you anticipated). Find out from your boyfriend what the parents are interested in, maybe their occupations or hobbies, and then next time you are around them...just pose a question. That should get the ball rolling. Warning though, I wouldn't choose an overly controversial topic to discuss while you are trying to open up communications. Example: if his parents are extremely religious, I wouldn't open up conversations by asking their opinion on "atheist/agnostic" beliefs. Make sense? Hope this helps!

Most likely it is because your BF parents don't really seems to like you or disapprove you. But never mind about that, times will change people perceptions and view of someone. Just bear with it and try do some nice stuff with them. You can try prepare dinner by yourself and invite them over to your house. this might help loosen up the stiff between you and them. Anyway goodluck to both of you

That depends on your age and your personality. If you are in school and in the same class- go with a subject you need help in. If you are older then go with life in general.

If you are talking to an intellectual, quantum theory, the double slit experiment, or the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle.
