Are they suppose to remit sales tax to the state they operate in for the puppies that have been sold?

Kennels are classified a buisness and reguardless of the state they are as a buisness you are required by law to collect sales tax on anything sold unless you are a buisness and have a sales tax exempt form filed witrh a buisness for then you are required to report anything bought for the business and pay the sales tax.

No, I do not think so. I've just bought a Scottie from Alabama, had it flown to San Jose CA. Then we both flew to Mexico with health cert. and no taxes were charged by breeder. None charged two years before from a NY breeder. So, I guess the answer is NO!

It is required in Texas. If sold in Texas or shipped to Texas address

I don't know about anywhere else but its not required in Nebraska
