i am a high school senior, i plan to go to college and my major will be pharmacy, the college asks me to get a recommendation from a pharmacist so i want to CVS and Walgreen and asked them can i volunteer at there so i can get my recommendation but they said no and then i went to hospital and asked can i volunteer but they said i need to wait like 4 to 6 weeks for their answer. I don't know what to do now, I need my recommendation as soon as possible, can any one help me or tell me where i can get my recommendation from a pharmacist????

Pharmacies are not the only place to find a PharmD. I work for a healthcare vendor that provides staffing, consulting, and medication delivery products and services. We have many PharmD's working within the company. You might consider going to the local medical device,. drug distribution, and drug research companies for an internship.

Also, you might try contacting your local volunteer center. They typically can connect you with specific volunteer projects that match your interests. They might be able to help you connect with a specific pharmacy opportunity:

Seems like a very strange requirement. Just because you want to be a pharmacist does not mean that you have a relationship with a pharmacist who will reccomend you. I would re-read the application .
