Perhaps you were influenced by Jim Lancey's (HBO Analyst) commentating - since he was Pro-Barrera the entire fight. Marquez won that fight. The score card was wrong as it was not a clear cut victory, but Marquez did win the fight. He was more aggressive, landed the cleaner shots, and dished out more than he received, despite the knock down.

I think that the right man won, the guys from HBO were sucking up to Barrera the entire fight! Turn the volume down on your TV sets and look who was the effective aggressor. All I heard was "barrera did this and barrera did that" Marquez landed the harder, cleaner, more visable shots, that almost made Barrera's crew almost jump in the ring and stop it for him like they did against Pacquiao. It was horrible scoring though because I did see Barrera have rounds where he dominiated completely with his boxing skills and Marquez couldnt get to him. The question is, "is Goldenboy the newcoming of Don King?" Did anybody else notice that the first fight was a scoring fiasco also? Hmm Hopkins promoting Hopkins? De La Hoya promoting Barrera plus bad scoring=Rematch=a 2nd PPV=More $ for goldenboy. Thanks to Goldenboy one of the best little fighters in the world "Pacman" is barred from fighting on HBO because he didnt sign with Goldenboy, not only that but he took Pacman's trainer to Puerto Rico also!

Yeah that is the type of fight that makes you wonder if corruption is in the sport. I mean come on one guy had Barrera only winning 2 rounds. That guy should be barred from ever judging again. I thought Barrera won especially if include the knockdown.
What can you do bad judging plagues boxing.

sorry but i think marquez did won the fight though I would have scored 114-113 including the 7th knockdown. I think marquez clearly establish his right hand and dominated barrera specially on the second half of the bout.

yes the scores should be not that too much n favor of marquez, coz i think its a close fight, but i cant see why barrera should win when he was edge by marquez in that fight just a little bit i guess when it comes to skills, i believe marquez deserves that win

yeah, the fight was closer than the judges scored but i do think barrera won by a point or two.and i also think hopkins lost his fight against forbes. it makes you wonder know you have to step in the ring and prey for a knockout, because you don't want to leave it to the judges.

word...terrible scoring...lederman had forbes 115-113...that's the way it looked to me anyway. marquez and barrera also...they will get in the ring again though...hopefully forbes gets a rematch too...he deserves one.
