I just purchased a prepaid MC and while reading on the inside of the cardboard, I see there will be a $4.95 fee per month to use. I have not called to activate yet. When I do, they will send me a plastic card.

I ahve used a prepaid MC from Greendot for years
I use it to pay my internet connection which is peoplepc
they charge $5 per month for the service and $5 for everytime you put money on the card
I put money on the card at CVS. I have never had a problem with it and you can also buy stuff online too. I like the fact that I dont have to use my bank account or pay all those hifden fees and late charges and club charges on those high interest credit cards
Its been a very nice thing to have . I highly recommend it.

Get a VISA debit card, or any debit card that ought to also be used as credit. it is going to debit your bank account promptly, so in simple terms save your money on your checking somewhat of putting it on a card. debits playing cards should be accessible via your economic corporation/credit union for free.
