My mom-in-law would like to know what Chelsea would like for her first birthday. She generally spends around $50-75. I was thinking of asking for a good toy that could be also be used by my future children. Does anyone have any good suggestions?

Get one of the wooden activity boxes, a wagon, or a little tykes plastic house type thing. She may not use the house thing now, but by 1 1/2 will. Or a water table. The other thing our 2 kids always loved was the playskool toy where the ball gets pushed in the air, then goes down some spiral thing, but thats less than 20.

Maybe since it is almost spring and you probably will be spending more time out side you could ask for a fisher price ride on toy. The future kids could use that or a fisher price slide maybe a wagon .

if you get her a toy, make sure it is reliable.

also, save 5-10 dollars a week for Chelsea.

Doesn't really matter, because they'll probably toss the toy aside and play with the box...

My son loved the shape sorters. He also liked anything with a ball, but that might be mostly a boy thing.
