Hey there!
I'm about to turn 16 and i've always wanted to learn to skate lol, so i'm a bit of a late starter. I saw an amazing board in a shop recently - it looked like a good one, and so my bro rang up to find out if it was for sale and they said it was only promotional, but if i wanted it, it was £200. Is this an unreasonable price for a board with everything included?

Also how hard would you say it is to get started riding lol. I know i'm a bit late but still, and i know quite a few people who ride already.

love xxx

at this point in time 1 pound is 1.94 dollars, so this £200 skateboard is $389.2 or thereabouts...?

waaay to much for someone who can't ride i guess...

it's never to late to learn how to skateboard I know of a woman she's 56 years old and learning to skateboard :-P. 200 pounds is like 385 in US so that's way to much for a board. A complete setup should cost around 30-60 pounds. I'm no expert I live in the US so maybe they'r emore there but I doubt it you could order on online from the US then if they are. First things first about stateboarding is learning to ballance on the board and riding. I always teach newbies to fine a parking lot or something and just practice riding it around. Learning to ollie will be your first trick, I teach people on carpet or a rug standing still it's easier and the board doesn't slip out under your feet. I posted a site that has all the tricks of the skateboarding trade for you to learn having and knowing people who skate is best they'll help you out more than anyone over th enet :-P. Good luck have fun.

first of all, get any kind of board, mostly decent one and practice at it, and first learn how to ollie, this is the most IMPORTANT thing you should know how to do.
For me it took me few weeks and months to have it learned perfectly but i learned it, in meanwhile my board got all messed up and while practicing i broke it (thats why you should if you want, get anykind of board, just to practice on it) after you get better then look up for new better boards. it is hard at first but if your devoted then you shouldnt have much problem with it.
As long as you have someone to skate with, it helps a lot.

yeah if ur gonna skate for transportation then i say get a longboard in the different case u'll kinda look like a poser, yet theyre more beneficial expensive and u may be able to purchase like a cheap motorcycle for a similar value.

What kind of board is it? Anyway, if you want it that bad, get it. And please state the price in U.S dollars too, just so that we know. If your paying over 150 U.S dollars, that's too much. But if your heart is in skateboarding, why not?
