YES i am scared as well. Especially since our society is declining rapidly on morals, family values, etc.
I do think it is possible to raise healthy, functional children despite the forces against us. I think its more important than ever to instill values that ARE important..versus those that aren't (fame, wealth, money).
Since success is defined by more qualities than those of job and money..i do think it is possible to be a successful human being and a gentle, kind, and caring one as well.
I feel this all starts in the home..set your environment so that the values you find important are empathized and the rest should follow.
i am right there with ya, good luck and god bless

I am 60 years old. In that time I have experienced 4 wars(fought in one of the-Vietnam), I have been cheated, beaten up, robbed, had several accidents, watched numerous people that I cared for die before their time and seen others who should have died live on forever and make lives miserable for others. Yeah, things are " scary", but its always been that way. Read our history and you will see that parents have always had challenges. Kids learn by example. So to raise good kids, set a good example. Don't use drugs, chat on your spouse, etc. The world is no more dangerous now than it was 50, 100, or 2000 years ago. Just different dangers that's all.

Very interesting question. I know that I am. I have a step daughter that is preteen and it petrifies me. Life now days is so much different than when I was a preteen. My step daughter has been interested in some things that I didn't even think about at that age.
I take her to church and try my best to teach her the values that I was taught when I was growing up. So far so good.
I still wonder about having children of my own. The world is bad now, can you only imagine what it's going to be like in 15 more years??
Sorry not trying to discourage you or anyone else..Only thing we can do is steer our children in the right direction, praying that they remember what we teach them..Best of luck

i understand how you feel i have raised 3 sons to adulthood and raising a 13 year old and i have noticed the difference in the way i do things with the youngest,he doesn't go riding his bike alone in the neighborhood we have a registered sex offender.he doesn't go to the movies alone or with just a friend its something my older boys were able to do and they think i am over the top but its so scary to know whats going on in this world now and just be able to enjoy things like before all we can do is teach them to be mindful of their surroundings at all times and try not to make them so paranoid they don't want to leave the house its hard but keep trying and stay alert its all we can do

Calm down let them make mistakes let them chose there own path with your guidance not interference I will try to answer your? ‘S one at a time
It depends but don’t scare them into thinking they wont
Schools overcrowded more work, worse teachers, probably uniforms, horrible food, still have different social classes and kids will be kids
no it shouldn’t be a priority but it is most likely always will be entertainment shelters us from what is really going on in the world ex wars, poverty, child labor us undercuts funds to other countries the us only give 0.1% of its gross domestic income to help developing nations and hardly anyone sees it com on who’s going to care with all the lovely distractions.
Treat them as adults choices rather than orders trust me the child will love you when there 10. Or 50 for it. educate them give them global literacy, however street smarts are more important than book smarts don’t make a 100% book smart kid and leave out the rest.
Yes, it is possible but it probably will not ever happen unless you raise a kid who does not care about material goods
its never fair to raise a kid but its your job suck it up and stop complaining at least your raising a kid in a place where they have a chance there not in poverty, or forced into child labor its not fair but trust me that kid has it better off than 80% of the world just being in a developed nation. sTop complaining raises the kid and see what happens you cannot predict it just live with your changing environment

None of these things were ever any better in the past. People just seem to have a twisted view of the past. The past was a horrible, dangerous, disgusting place unless you were one of the select, select few.
The only exception is the entertainment part, and the only reason that is true is because people now have the valuable leisure time to actually take in some entertainment.

It is scary. We are planning on moving to a different town and state because of it. Not that we can escape everything, but we feel we can give the kids a more worry free life in a different place.

Yes it is very scary to me. But I will teach my children to be the best person they can be. Teach them right from wrong and do my job as a parent and hopefully my children will grow up with the right head on there shoulder and as parents that is all we can do. Teach them to be the best possible and guide them to the right way!

for sure you at the instantaneous are not selfish and unloving! sounds like you've a spectacular kin! the in person-friendly words strong reason i visit come back up with as to why people say it extremely is because they have their heads so some distance up their butts that they could't see the mild of day :] possibly often times it extremely is the great selection for a touch one, relying on in spite of extreme situations, yet I do imagine that too many people take it fullyyt too gently. Like a organic mom giving freely her infant to strangers is meant to do it with hearts in her eyes and continuously experience free that she "did the right element".
