A lot of stores have their boots clearanced right now and I'd like to buy ahead for next year. My 2 yr old wears a 6 to 6 1/2 right now, I'm trying to guess what she'd wear next fall (October/November). Any ideas on how to guess what size your child would be wearing about 7 or 8 months from now? I know it won't be exact for sure, just a guess...

I found Thomas boots for $4. It seems worth it to try.

Just a guess but I think you'd be fairly safe to go up about a size and a half......I wouldn't by ahead in shoes unless they're priced VERY well though I know I tried to do this a few times and either they had a growth spurt or a slow stage lol! I think I wasted a lot more money than I would have saved!!! Good Luck!

I'd probably buy an 8 or 9. My 3 year old wears a 8 1/2 or 9. Last year this time I think she was in a 6 1/2 or 7. With boots, if it's a little big, it won't be noticable and they will stay on the foot still. If they end up being way too big or too small, you could sell them on e-bay!

What I do is go a size bigger. Then they can wear them the entire winter usually. My girls feet usually grow a half size between the end of school and the start of school. If the boots are a little big next year, not a problem they'll grow into them. SO far with the size bigger thing, I'm doing ok. I have 3 kids...I had to stop when my son was about 11 because his feet suddenly grew like weeds..lol..lol. His nickname now is big foot.

Ohhh, that's a tough one. Depending on how "well" the 6-6.5 are fitting I'd probably go up 1-2 sizes. But who knows just exactly when she'll hit a growth spurt. If they're a good enough deal you could buy a few pairs and just donate the rest at Christmas time to families in need.

I definitely have 2 daughters that are conventional in height even if their shoe sizes are 10 yrs old wears length 7 and my oldest at age 12 wears a 10.5... youthful ones seem to variety from length 4-10 at that age and ought to change from one month to the subsequent fairly noticeably.

Oooh, I wish I knew. Listen, best thing to do is to kind of 'guesstimate' what she'll be wearing, BUT get them just slightly larger than your guess, just in case she hits a major growth spurt and outgrows them. She can always grow into them before the end of the season.

she will probably be wearing a size 7 by next year.
my daughter is 20 months old. last year she wore a size 4, this year she wears a size 5. so, i'm assuming they grow one size higher each year.

If you have noticed how big she grew the first two yrs and how many sizes that she changed..depending on that and also they do not grow as much from two to three... so iwould buy 2 sizes bigger and not more

It is so hard to guess future shoe size. It is best to buy when they need it. If there is a great sale though buy it and hope for the best. If she doesn't fit it maybe a friends child will.

Shoe sizes are waaaaayyyy harder to predict than clothes sizes. I buy clothes ahead all the time, but never shoes unless they can be worn in any season. If you really want to try it, go up two sizes. Good luck!
