My gf dumped me and i was really keen trying to get her back and paying her alot of attention. We continued to text and see eachother but she said we werent getting back together. I was upset but i carried on trying. in the end i gave up and needed my space so i moved away from where we live (we are both at uni together) and stopped texting her. now she is asking why i have not been in contact and always asking when i am coming back. and overall im not sure i even want to get back with her now anyway...whats goin on? what shud i do?

I say let her know what's going on in your head. Let her know that even after you two split, you had hoped to get back together, but she kept saying "no" so you gave up. And if she does change her mind and want to get back together, make sure it's not just because she misses you as a friend, (girls do that) you don't need to get dumped again.

This sounds like a case where she just wants you to pay attention to her. She wants someone else to validate her worthiness.
She wants you around to boost her confidence. To prove to the world that someone is interested in her. But she doesn't want you as a bf.
It's hard to be just friends after a break up. You need your time to get over her. Tell her this. If in the future you can be just friends, that's fine.

If you don't want to be with her then tell her.
Don't let her think there is a chance of you getting back together because the longer she thinks there is the more it will hurt when she realises theres not.
I have been there myself and i thought things were fine and we were sorting things out and then he started seeing someone else and i have never been so hurt in all my life.

If you do not think you want to back with her then that means you most likely have moved on and she does not like that you can get on without her and now she wants you back. I think you should just forget her and find someone you can be happy with
