Hamburger is fine for a dog. If you cook it make sure to boil it not fry it to eliminate extra fat...it is also fine to give it raw.

No, I wouldn't. I wouldn't have a problem feeding either as a food source but I would have a problem feeding them becaue the dog was becoming picky. Doing this won't encourage the dog to eat it will just make it pickier. You also have to be very careful about feeding raw and kibble. You can't feed them together due to the difference in digestion rate. A dog will digest raw meat very quickly which means that if the meat has any bacteria it isn't in the dog's system long enough to have an affect. But if you feed it mixed with kibble you slow down the digestion rate. So if you're going to feed both you need to do it at separate feedings.

Exercise and Diet are the key elements to health and there are lots of ways to exercise your dog to build muscle. You could get her involved in agility or weight pulling. Take her for frequent walks and runs in the dog park, or out jogging with you.
Hamburger meat that is lean if it is cooked should be fine in addition to a well balanced healthy dog food. You can also give her a few tablespoons of Dan Active Yogurt daily.
That is good for her digestive system and immune system.
My Bully mix eats Nature's Recipe Venison and Rice dog food which has no wheat or corn in it. I cut a slice of Pet Botanics Beef log and mix that into her food. She loves it.
If you decided to try a raw diet here's a site with info but it is a lot of maintenance: http://www.rawdogranch.com
You can feed partial raw if you want to. I fed mine a raw diet which they did real well on but couldn't keep up with it because I have three dogs and a small freezer. I never gave them raw hamburger though because raw beef that is ground can sometimes be contaminated with E-Coli.

Hi Lindsey!
Please look article: Dog Food - Which Diet Is Best For Dogs : http://www.askedweb.com/askedweb/Dog_Food_-_Which_Diet_Is_Best_For_Dogs/
Without any doubt (based on what I've seen over many years and hundreds of dogs), the best possible diet to feed your dogs is raw meat and bones with an occasional slop made up of vegetables, fruits, and organ meat. I've seen clear and compelling evidence that this diet leads to three amazing results: much better overall health, excellent dental health, and longer lifespans.
Yes, handling raw meat and bones requires a commitment many are uncomfortable with. You have to get over the 'yuckiness' and embrace the benefits to your dogs! Another issue is finding a good source of affordable products. It's a good idea to locate a chicken processing plant nearby. They will often sell chicken cages (breast bones and related parts). Chicken cages are ideal because they provide a good balance of meat and bone - not too much of either in proportion to the other. Please look article.

It is fine to feed her that just not as her main food source. She can have it about every other day. It is better if the meat is cooked and dogs usually prefer it. Good Luck!

I'd just switch my food permanently to raw for the best protein available. Try www.rawfed.com for more info. Hamburger is okay but not a good source of food for very long.

Its not going to hurt him no but serve is cooked they can still get sick like us from uncooked meat so to be safe cook it good. Ive also hear bread with some peanut butter on it helps them to gain a little mass.

If you want to bulk her up, I would personally buy a higher calorie food, like they feed working dogs, and establish an exercise regimine.
