A few months ago a had a boil between my butt cheeks. I went to the doctor and she gave me some antibiotics to treat it, it seemed to have went away, but there is still possibly a scar there or maybe even the boil never went fully away. Well, within the last week my butt crack started itching near the spot where the boil is or was. It does not itch all the time, I seem to notice it more when I am walking or moving a lot. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow and I am going to ask about it. But I just thought I could get some answers on here. (This could also have absolutely nothing at all to do with the boil, but who knows)

P.S.

There are no signs of bumps, lumps, scabs, or anything like that...it just itches. I also take a shower at least once a day and I wipe well when using the bathroom, I have also only been with one person for the past 2 years. JUST WANTED TO EXCLUDE THOSE KIND OF COMMENTS IF I COULD!!!

There are LOTS of things that could cause an itchy butt crack, including allergies and irritations, hemorrhoids and worms. You're smart to go to your doctor. Don't worry. It is most likely nothing more than something you are eating causing the reaction. Check out the following site.

some people are more prone to getting boils or having dry skin.you have it all covered as your going to the doctors tomorrow 'to find out why this is making your body to be itchy all the times...i had an uncle and he was a very clean person' but he would get boils all the time all over his body.this was 20yrs ago and at that time they knew nothing about skins dryness and what lotions help it alittle.they would give him meds or sometimes they had to lance it to get the blood out to get it cleared up....good luck

It is definitely some kind of epithelial inflammation of sensitive skin, which is not guy related if he has been with you for two years. Sometimes internally your system is not working perfectly and outward signs like these can happen, like digestive problems, blood being above normal temperature due to internal heat from many reasons like less water, somewhat less than a balanced diet can do it too. Also, psychological factors like stress and depression can lead to this as well, as in inflammation of various parts of your body. Trust me, I am a premed :-)

There are delicate tissues there. It could easily be irritated from over cleaning, or even the acidity of your stools. You may want to try wiping on some creams to ease the irritation. These are creams for anal or vaginal regions and you can get it at Walgreens, I think it is called benocol or something like that. I have done this and it works.

I've had boils also. They do tend to come back in a few weeks to a few months. Try using boil ease or I found a black sauve works wonders. This sauve is nasty and messy, but it works. It actually helps bring up any puss or blood. You can get this by asking your pharmacist. You do not need a prescription.

Also helps it sitz bathing.
Good Luck..

Try to use a prickly heat powder and cotton underwear while you are out and while at home don't use under wears. This condition usually goes away without much effort. To put it short keep the area well ventilated and cool. Don't allow excessive perspiration.

Perhaps it's just a dry skin condition (especially if you "overwipe") The best trick to try is to by nappy rash cream (it's really cheap) and try that for a few days.

Good Luck (it can't be a pleasant situation)

I think you should just ask your doctor. You know with posting a question like this on here that you are going to get some off the wall answers.

Sweaty can syndrome is the most likely cause. An anti-itch cream/ointment OTC, like Hydrocort will probably help. It may be healing--so time will help that condition.
