how does branch transfer work for marines to navy and navy to marines as an officer?

I was wondering how a "branch transfer" works for officers wishing to join a different branch while still serving? or however it works. thanks in advance to anyone who answers.

not going to happen easily. the branch you are in has to release you, and the branch you want to go to has to have a need for you. you can't just swap over in the middle of your OBLISERV.

The Navy takes very few Prior service/branch transfers overall. You would have an easier time going Navy to Marines.
