What is a good longboard for a beginner?

First, good on ya for going with a longboard; many beginners think thye can jump on a potato chip, and end up very dissapointed. Truthfully, a beginner will be hard-pressed to tell much of a difference between boards of the same length. Get what you can afford and what you think looks cool, because a good-looking board always gives you confidence.
