It depends on what you are referring to. There are many moral situations where it is better to be right than safe. Martin Luther King is an excellent example. He stood up for what was right, even though it was dangerous and eventually cost his life.

neither. Its better to be responsible for your actions, and to consider what the other person is considering. What good is being right if it gets you killed, and what good is being safe, if you are a prisoner. I choose reason and responsibility every time.

With regards to faith it is better to be right, then you automatically are saved. Rightly dividing the word of truth.
Jesus said I am the way and the truth. So, with Jesus, it's all covered.
