room ideas......?

Hi im 13 years old and i need some ideas on decerating my room. I like pink and black, polkadots, any bright color with brown except red, and im a bit girlyish with my room can you give me some ideas on how to decerate my room? thank you verry much!

It's cool you know what you like. So start with that....... the pink, black and polka dots as a color/pattern theme. But your room should be YOUR ROOM.......personalize it!

What else do you like? Do you like nature, animals, do you like being surrounded by your family and friends?

How about taking your color themes and make a picture peg board? Go to the fabric or craft store and use polka dot ribbon to decorate a cork board by glueing the ribbon around it (maybe black with white polka dots or pink with black polka dots). You can use colorful push pins in coordinating colors of black and white with the pink ribbon accents. Or decorate picture frames with your color/pattern theme.

It's a girl's best friend! Neat way to organize your hair stuff. But maybe you can do yours in your favorite room colors.

You can also do some cool stuff decorating pillows for your bed to make them YOUR OWN...... maybe get some cool iron-ons, or use buttons you like. You can do the same with lamp shades, too. You can turn a plain white lamp shade into an awesome shade with your pink/black/polka dot theme.......
glue on beads or cool craft gemstones (maybe try some pink rhinestones) or whatever.

Have fun. Be free and creative with expressing yourself. All the accents in your room can be totally unique and show your personality in a number of ways.

On the largest wall or the wall with the least amount of furniture on it should be your accent wall. You could make this brown and then put large and small circles or squares in your second color ( blue or pink). have them over lap eachother. Basically like retro. Htem the remaining walls will be either blue or pink with a brown strip running across it. Know what i mean! Good luck, it sounds like fun!

Are you going to paint or just decorate. I suggest painting the walls a nice pale pink and accent it polka dots. Like have black curtains or brown curtains with hot pink polka dots. Do your bedding the same, with a polka dot comforter with pink sheets or visa versa. Check out www.brylanehome.com.
